I’m Yana Maximovich, interior designer, decorator and founder of M.Y.Interior Studio. I create interiors where beauty serves the people who live in them.
Every project begins with understanding your personality, habits and daily rhythm. My approach brings together aesthetics, ergonomics and the psychology of space to create a home where, beauty and personal aspirations meet.
I believe your home can reflect your inner world and become a place to recharge. A beautiful, comfortable home is an investment in your wellbeing, your sense of balance and your everyday happiness.
I have been drawn to the visual world since childhood. I chose drawing while I was still in kindergarten, followed by art school, an architecture-focused class, competitions and creative projects.
Only as an adult did I discover that both my father and grandfather were professional artists. Perhaps my love of beauty, form and composition had deeper roots than I realised.
Life rarely follows a straight line.
Along the way came a medical degree, a master’s degree in IT, university teaching, family, children and new beginnings in different countries. Having lived in five countries and moved more than twenty times, I absorbed the aesthetics of different cultures and architectural traditions.
One thing remained constant: wherever I lived, I wanted to shape the space around me, making it more beautiful, harmonious and welcoming for myself, my family and my friends.
Over time, I came to understand that interiors are about more than aesthetics. Our surroundings influence how we rest, think and feel at home, and sometimes even who we become.
That realisation led me to pursue design more deeply and professionally, creating spaces that make a meaningful difference to everyday life.
Home staging began with requests to help prepare apartments and houses for sale or rent. It was followed by a deliberate decision to study interior design professionally, so I could create thoughtfully planned spaces from the ground up.
For me, this journey has been a return to what has always mattered.
